Ways to Help Katrina and Rita
Evacuees
besides what we are already doing by giving
to the Baptist Relief Effort:
1. Serve here in
Oklahoma City at
Trinity International Missions
C/o Trinity Baptist Church
1329 NW 23rd Street
Oklahoma City, OK
They are the OKC FEMA center. They are assisting people with donated items such as: toiletries, food boxes, etc. They need people who can listen to the evacuees share their stories while they wait to see FEMA. They need other people who can help stock other light items. Finally, they need people who can lift things without getting hurt.
Hours of Operation: Monday Through Friday 9am-2pm.
If you want to serve: show up before 9am, preferably between 8:30am and 9am. When you get to the church go into the gym inquire at the information center and register to help with the church. This is located in Trinity Baptist Church. FEMA is providing the housing assistance and the church is providing some items that they can use while they are here.
